Hello Everyone! I am a new member and happy to be here. This is my first post. I am using it to share a link to (what I found to be) a timely and heartening interview with former Treasury Sec Henry Paulson: https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/02/825903888/get-money-out-to-the-economy-quickly-ex-treasury-secretary-says.

(Full disclosure: I live in SE Michigan where we are working to stay physically and mentally healthy. In case you don’t track the numbers, our situation is grim here. We are now experiencing personal impacts as friends, colleagues, and acquaintances report that they are losing family member to this virus.)

I realize that, for some, Paulson is a controversial figure. However, his comments this morning moved me. In the interview Paulson stresses the importance of resisting fear. He also offers wise advice (IMHO) for how we can do that without sacrificing our vigilance. In particular, I appreciated Paulson’s humor, his patriotism, and his brief yet candid discussion about his personal faith. It struck me that the Finom community would especially appreciate the tone of this discussion, whether or not you agree w/the policy position he advocates. (If I am wrong, please forgive my presumption.)

Be safe. Be well. God bless.
