Today is m1 expiration whereby the ETPs have eliminated any residual holdings. m2 will roll forward, becoming m1 along with all other back month futures contracts rolling forward to become m2, 3,4 etc. If you have any questions about VIX-Futures expiration feel free to ask. Current look at term structure. Should be looking at m2 contango right now for an accurate reading of what it will look like tomorrow.
